Position Summary:
Malaak is seeking a compassionate and experienced Homecare Nurse to join our in-home care team, providing dedicated support for both childcare and/or elderly care clients. The ideal candidate should be a nursing/midwifery graduate or a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with practical experience in pediatric, childcare, elderly, or homecare settings. This role is ideal for someone who values patient-centered care and is passionate about improving the quality of life, safety, and well-being of clients within the comfort of their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Patient Care:
Provide high-quality, compassionate care to infants, children, and elderly clients, including assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility support, feeding, medication reminders, and monitoring of vital signs. Deliver age-appropriate care tailored to each client’s physical, emotional, and healthcare needs.

Care Planning:
Collaborate with families, physicians, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans that address each client’s medical requirements, developmental needs, and personal preferences.

Childcare and Elderly Support:
Support children’s daily routines, developmental activities, and safety while also assisting elderly clients with companionship, chronic condition management, and maintaining comfort and dignity at home.

Patient and Family Education:
Provide guidance and support to families regarding childcare practices, elderly care techniques, medication administration, infection prevention, nutrition, and proper use of medical equipment when necessary.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to infection control procedures, safety standards, and homecare protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care provided in compliance with homecare regulations and company standards.

Qualifications:

Certification and Education:

  •  Nursing/Midwifery graduate (Bachelor’s degree or diploma) with experience in childcare, elderly care, or homecare services. (or) 
  •  Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with experience in pediatric, elderly, or homecare nursing. 
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare or homecare setting involving childcare, pediatric care, elderly care, or general nursing services.

Skills and Competencies:

  •  Strong understanding of childcare and elderly care needs, including developmental support, chronic condition management, and personal assistance. 
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. 
  •  Ability to work independently and provide high-quality care in a home setting. 
  •  Strong observational, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  •  Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with clients and families.
